Fearing SIMI ban, Simi Garewal contemplates name change.

On hearing that the Government of India was going to toughen its stand on the controversial Islamic student organisation SIMI, actress Simi Garewal is reportedly looking to change her name. “Shite”, said the former star “They're going to ban Simi. This is crappy. Now I'll have to change my name to something less controversial. Maybe I'll go with RSS Garewal. Or BCCI Garewal. Or even VHP Garewal. Damn – all those sound like army-based Sardarjis who participate in Equestrian events. Waaaaaah!” she wailed in despair. She also strongly objected to being referred to as 'former star' in the previous sentence.

In related news, the yesteryears star (hahaha – see how resourceful we are - editor.) also planned to finally abandon her trademark white clothes, since she had heard that the Government had plans to 'ban the SIMI outfit'.

THIS JUST IN
Simi changes her name to Cyrus Sahukar.
The Original Cyrus Sahukar could not comment as he was upstaged by Ram Gopal Varma who pushed him away and asked 'So, what's the fuss about? I was just in the vicinity..'
Ram Gopal Varma was unavailable for clarifying aforementioned comment since he was busy being chased around the city by a baton-wielding man bearing a strong resemblance to Ritesh Deshmukh when he is asleep. Closer inspection revealed the man to be Vilasrao D and the baton to be R.R Patil.

An additional worry for SIMI is that if the agencies REALLY investigate her, they might discover that she's actually sculpted out of wood

it's reported that a lot of monkeys are leaving india as they think the ban covers simi-ans too.

Since theyre banning the outfit... little girls can't wear shimmi ?? saditude.
In other unrelated news(like totally and extremely unrelated), EA is releasing a new war game called SIMI City where ex- Simi Garewal and (you guessed it) RGV will be making an appearance..(or many).

Anand, can I contribute a couple of articles on your Son of Bosey. I hope you consider my skills in writing to be sufficiently worthy of SoB (not to be confused with SOB).

:-)

narendra - wood, you think? I was leaning towards plasticine.

hari - lots of very talented and funny readers actually have mailed me wanting to contribute to Son of Bosey, but I'm afraid Son of Bosey cannot accommodate all this talent without losing its individuality.

But this gives me an idea - send me links to specific posts you'd like me to highlight, and I'll inlcude them in a weekly link list. This goes for other readers as well.

Of course, you can always link to your stuff from the comments, but a link in the main section would help more people discover your posts. Hope this helps.

At least Lalu will be on her side.

And as you seem so tolerant about links, do check out 100 word speeches by Laloo, Mallya, et al at http://www.rameshsrivats.net/2008/12/100-word-election-speeches-part-2.html
